About Us
Students Health Home (SHH) is an offshoot of country's freedom struggle and can highly be considered a rich heritage of Bengal. It was established in 1952 with a spirit to bear all the burden of ailing students through a self help movement of entire Student community.
You can now enjoy the story of SHH in a full length feature film, "KINTU GALPO NOY" ( released in June 2018). The film is available in almost all digital media as EROS purchased it soon after the release. Renowned artists like Ashoke Mukhopadhyay, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Paran Bandopadhyay, Debshankar Halder, Meghnad Bhattacharya, Badsha Moitra, Papiya Adhikari shared the screen here and that too absolutely on honorary basis.
In last 70 years of its glorious journey SHH has served innumerable ailing students including those who had been suffering from cancer, mutilating injuries or life threatening infection. It is not a fact that every time SHH was successful to save the patient but it's fact that overwhelming majority got cured and the rest unfortunate young sufferers got the best possible support here in all sense i.e. treatment, love and affection.

What we do
Gatekeeper Training on 14th June, 2024
Gatekeeper Training is meant for suicide prevention. This programme is advocated by WHO. Students Health Home is the first one in West Bengal and perhaps in India to organize such an important programme on a mass scale to develop number of trained and sensitive human resources to combat the challenging situation. Numerous doctors, especially psychiatrist, psychologists and other experts in the relevant field is taking part to impart lessons among the trainee teachers, health workers, social workers and organizers of Students Health Home.

Foundation Day celebration
Students Health Home will celebrate it's 72nd foundation day in the General Body meeting scheduled to be held on 2nd September, 2023 at Moulali Yuba Kendra at 3pm onwards.
All the members, patronizers and well wishers of Students Health Home is requested to actively participate and uphold the legitimate demand of grant from government. A number of distinguished doctors, academicians and social activists will deliver on Students Health Home movement along with colorful cultural programmes by students in the programme.
