Since its inception Students Health Home has been working relentlessly for the curative health of students. Thousands of young learners have received treatment from the hospital at Moulali, Kolkata in the last 70 years. This hospital is equipped with 50 beds and all the modern facilities along with eminent doctors from almost every discipline.

The doctors serve voluntarily and passionately for the sake of the students in SHH. In OPD,the students of member institutions get medicines prescribed by the doctors at the cost of rupees five per day only, irrespective of its cost in the open market. The cost of pathological tests and relevant investigations is minimum. In IPD, students are charged rupees 30 for accommodation and another rupees 10 for medicines per day only. Thus, it is not a free lunch for the students but a quality health care at a minimum cost.

Besides the hospital at Moulali, Health Home runs at least 35 clinics at regional centres in different parts of Bengal. The students enjoy same benefit of OPD there. For specialized treatment or hospitalization or operation,the students are referred to the central hospital at Moulali.

In 2022, the Students Health Home has initiated a new venture.The unused health infrastructure of the Home both in OPD and IPD, is being utilized for general people at a reasonable cost. No brokers, no hidden cost, no profit making intention, no manipulation in bills, Health Home only assures quality treatment at an affordable cost. Any surplus from this venture is dedicatedly used for the benefit of the students only. One can also enjoy the facility of medical insurance for treatment in Students Health Home.
